To those of us who have been following this issue we can be heartened that our consumer choices are successfully steering food companies towards “non-GMO” (non-Genetically Modified Organisms) labels!! There are already over 17,000 non GMO labels on products in the U.S.!!
The other apparent/possible good news about GMOs is called “genetic drift.” This happens mostly in plants. check out the jars of blue and red jelly beans in this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_drift Genomes have “correction” genes so that after about 5 generations, the plant has the propensity to remove the defect and return back to normalcy!!
